What started as a dedicated children and teen development program nurturing character and creativity has evolved into a broader youth development platform. Today, GYI serves as a purpose-driven organization equipping young people with the knowledge, skills, mentorship, and opportunities they need to thrive in an ever-changing world.

A Message from Our Founder

Brief history of the Founder/Executive Director

My journey into youth empowerment began in the heart of the community, serving in children and teen church ministry. Over the years, as I worked closely with young people, I witnessed a powerful truth firsthand: when a young person is properly formed—both in character and in skill—they don't just grow up; they thrive. I saw the incredible, immediate results of nurturing their potential, and that experience propelled me to start my first organization dedicated to children.

But I knew the journey couldn't stop there. The deeper I went, the more I realized that our older young people need that exact same robust, holistic foundation as they step out into the world. That is why I founded Graceworld Youth Initiative.

True empowerment isn't just about handing someone a skill; it’s about shaping who they are. When we invest in both the character and capabilities of our youth, they naturally step into lives of deep responsibility, positive drive, and community impact. The Journey of Life Impact Cafe

Life Impact Cafe is a transformative, one-day encounter program designed for undergraduates and young graduates. It bridges the gap between generations by bringing together accomplished leaders—those who have reached or are ascending to the pinnacle of their careers while excelling personally—to share their raw, real-life journeys. Through their stories, participants gain the insights, wisdom, and resilience needed to overcome modern challenges and succeed in life.

2023: The Beginning

“A Day Out” The Spark: Born out of a desire to anchor young people amidst shifting societal values, this inaugural edition was uniquely personal.

The Experience: Organized specifically for mentees from the children/teen church ministry, the day featured a special visit to the Auxiliary Bishop and a Priest at the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria. Through open interactions, the participants had a rare platform to air their minds, rekindle fond memories, and find their footing.

The Impact: The profound success of this day sparked a resolute vision to make this gathering an annual beacon of hope.

2024: Finding Our Footing

“Standing Tall” The Evolution: Building on the momentum of the previous year, the program was held at the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, Abuja, for a powerful one-day encounter.

The Experience: Focused on the theme “Standing Tall,” the Guest speaker shared his unique life journey – the sessions challenged participants to rise above peer pressure and societal distractions. This year also marked the natural expansion of our community, welcoming the first set of external participants.

The Impact: It solidified the realization that the message of purposeful living was desperately needed by a wider audience of young adults.

2025: Expanding the Vision

“Standing Tall in our Broken World”

The Evolution: Recognizing the widespread need for mentorship, 2025 marked a major milestone: Graceworld Youth Initiative officially opened its door of Life Impact Cafe to all interested undergraduates and young graduates.

The Experience: Held at the Novare Central, Zone 5 Wuse, Abuja, the program tackled a heavy but necessary reality with the theme “Standing Tall in our Broken World.” Renowned speakers shared practical blueprints on how to maintain integrity, build successful careers, and thrive personally despite a fractured societal landscape.

The Impact: A packed hall of diverse, ambitious young minds leaving equipped, inspired, and ready to reshape their futures.
